We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance/HR team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, adhering to company policies and government regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis using ADP modules.
  • Review and verify timesheets and attendance records for accuracy.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, commissions, and other earnings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Make sure benefits, garnishments and other deductions are accurate.
  • Review Vacation Time is accurate and aligns with the company’s policy.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.
  • Account reconciliation experience.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities and tax reporting.
  • Work Comp Audits.
  • U.S. Department of Labor Audits on a monthly basis.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software/systems (ADP modules).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel with Pivot Tables
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification (e.g., CPP) or coursework in payroll administration.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and compliance.
  • Fluent English / Spanish an added plus
