Tampa, Fla. – 10/1/2024 – In preparation for the release of final CMMC requirements, A-LIGN, the leading provider in cybersecurity compliance, is announcing CMMC service offerings and new strategic partnerships. A-LIGN, an accredited C3PAO and FedRAMP 3PAO is partnering with managed security providers CyberSheath, Network Coverage, PreVeil, and Summit 7 to support organizations in their quest for CMMC readiness.
The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) newest verification mechanism designed to ensure that cybersecurity controls and processes adequately protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) that resides on Defense Industrial Base (DIB) systems and networks. The rule finalizing the CMMC Program (32 CFR) has cleared regulatory review and will likely be effective in early Q1 2025.
For prime and subcontractors of the DoD, A-LIGN as a C3PAO offers both a CMMC readiness assessment and a CMMC assessment. Organizations that need additional assistance preparing for assessment can work with A-LIGN’s strategic partners.
- CyberSheath is one of the industry’s few one-stop cybersecurity compliance service providers. CyberSheath goes beyond assessment and software licensing to solve the whole problem, helping organizations achieve and maintain full compliance with DoD requirements at the appropriate level with a minimum amount of pain.
- Network Coverage ensures that government contractors and sub-contractors are equipped with robust IT infrastructures, comprehensive cybersecurity controls and support, and seamless data management systems to help them adhere to complex CMMC requirements.
- PreVeil‘s encrypted email and file sharing technology is used by over 1,200 defense contractors to improve their security and advance CMMC and ITAR compliance.
- Summit 7 is one of the top Managed Services (MSP) and Managed Security Services (MSSP) provider for DoD contractors. Summit 7’s greatest efforts are currently helping businesses configure, and manage their cloud environments to CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, and DFARS security and compliance requirements.
“The roll out of CMMC rulemaking has been a long time coming, but now is the time for security leaders to make a plan for assessments and secure their place in line with a C3PAO,” said Petar Besalev, EVP of Cybersecurity and Compliance Services of A-LIGN. “In partnership with managed security providers such as Summit 7, PreVeil, Network Coverage, and CyberSheath, A-LIGN is ready to help organizations understand CMMC requirements and simplify the assessment process.”
“As CMMC requirements show up in contracts, the great risk every contractor has is overspending and under complying. CyberSheath mitigates that risk because we solve the whole problem,” said Eric Noonan, CEO, CyberSheath. “Together with A-LIGN, a C3PAO and trusted federal assessor, we can get defense contractors through CMMC certification.”
“With CMMC in the making for the past few years, we are now in the final stretch, witnessing in real time the certification becoming a contractual requirement for DOD contractors.” said Bridget Wilson, Senior VP, Governance Risk and Compliance at Network Coverage. “Network Coverage’s expertise in the space, together with A-LIGN’s proven track record as a certifying body, ensure that organizations will effectively and efficiently achieve their CMMC requirements.”
“CMMC final rule release is imminent with assessments starting shortly thereafter. Organizations that don’t get ahead could get left behind,” said Jamie Leupold, Director, Channels & Alliances at PreVeil. “We are pleased to partner with A-LIGN to help our joint customers achieve CMMC certification.”
“Achieving CMMC, FedRAMP, ISO or other certifications requires significant resources, time, money, and cybersecurity expertise. A-LIGN’s expert team supports our clients through certification, minimizing disruptions and maximizing security as we help them prepare for CMMC assessments,” said Darron Makrokanis, Chief Revenue Officer, Summit7. “Partnering with A-LIGN will ensure that our customers who need these services will minimize business disruption as they prepare for certification.”
A-LIGN is a globally recognized cybersecurity and privacy compliance provider that offers a single-provider approach for organizations. With more than 1,000 federal assessments completed, A-LIGN is an accredited C3PAO and FedRAMP 3PAO with extensive experience across NIST frameworks.
