AWS Customer Case Study: The Walt Disney Company

Don’t miss our upcoming meetup in January, which will showcase a behind the scenes look at Disney with practical applications of AWS LambdaEC2, and ECS as they work in concert with Selenium and process orchestrators like WorkFusion and UiPath.

Learn how these tools streamline operations at Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, covering use-cases such as booking automation, personnel reassignment, system integration testing, and marketing campaign validation. It’s a practical dive into the automation technology underlying the real-world magic behind Disney’s operations.

Food/drinks sponsored by our great partner, TEKsystems. Networking and food begin at 5:30pm, and the presentation begins around 6:00pm. We hope to see you there!

Location
We will be at the Tampa Entrepreneur Collaborative Center (ECC), located at 2101 E Palm Ave, Tampa, FL 33605.

Parking
Please see the photo for a parking map. DO NOT park on the ECC lot – your car will be towed. There is an empty lot across the street (due north of the ECC building) for parking.

About Our Speaker
Michael Berlet is a senior full-stack software engineer at Disney within the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Product (DPEP) division, specializing particularly in operations automation. He’s built new (and enhanced older) workflows across all facets of DPEP, including booking, food and beverage, finance, and marketing, using both traditional microservice development patterns in AWS and Azure, and particular optimizations via UiPath, Workfusion, and vanilla Selenium scripting. He provides similar solutions to clients outside Disney via his company–EntertainOps–and helps startups and nonprofits get their own initiatives off the ground.
