Welcome Dynabyte: Swedish Software Solutions Firm Opens U.S. HQ in St. Petersburg, Florida

Sweden-based software solutions provider Dynabyte has opened its U.S. headquarters, Dynabyte Tech Inc., in St. Petersburg, Florida. When the company, based in Stockholm, found that some of its U.S.-based employees planned to return to the States, it explored opening operations in Florida and chose to locate in the Sunshine City. The company made the announcement at the St. Petersburg Economic Development Corporation’s “Meet the Projects,” where the EDC introduces companies that have relocated to or expanded in St. Petersburg to the organizations that support the EDC.

Vibrant Tech Scene

Dynabyte Group is a software solutions consultancy that has provided software solutions worldwide for more than two decades. After scouting locations in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and St. Petersburg, Dynabyte CEO Anders Lentell says, “We felt that St. Pete was a perfect place to open our new office. St. Pete is a very open and welcoming community with a strong and vibrant tech scene.” He notes, “The increasing number of tech startups and established enterprises in the region is indicative of its growth potential.”

St. Petersburg’s talent pool was also compelling, with Lentell citing “access to a diverse and talented workforce graduating from local universities and tech training centers” as an attraction.

Contributing to the Community

After years in the Swedish tech and startup ecosystem, Lentell is eager to bring Dynabyte’s experience working with clients like Spotify, Klarna, and Ikea to the Tampa Bay area.  He highlights the appeal of the St. Pete community and the company’s interest in becoming part of it, saying, “We are not just opening an office; we are committing to the community. Our goal is to contribute to the local tech ecosystem, collaborate with educational institutions, and support local businesses in their digital transformation journeys. As we’ve done in Sweden, we aim to be not just a business, but a valuable member of the community.”

Dynabyte was referred to the St. Pete EDC by local leadership coach Steven Granese. The EDC worked closely with Lentell, giving him a comprehensive tour of St. Petersburg, and connecting him with local tech and community leaders.  He said, “The EDC played a vital role in welcoming us to St. Pete. From showing us around and giving introductions to the business community, to always answering questions and giving tips, they have been present through the whole journey.”
