How does Cyber Futures work?
This paid opportunity will combine technical skill building and hands-on experience working on cybersecurity problems facing our government.
The 10-week internship offers three tracks tailored with introductory cybersecurity training and MITRE project experience. As appropriate, each track includes lessons provided through MITRE’s cybersecurity training partners. Applicants will be asked to select a preferred track.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
Day-to-day, students will either be working on challenge projects for MITRE sponsors, or engaged in technical training, dialog sessions, and micro-seminars with MITRE leaders and government agencies. They will attend field trips to learn about different types of work in the cybersecurity industry as well as meet professionals working on world problems across government organizations and in other industries.
Students will have opportunity to demonstrate what they’ve learned by participating in a capture the flag competition. At the end of the internship, students will present completed challenge projects to MITRE subject matter experts, customers, and academic leaders.
