Kind Designs Secures $5M to Scale Climate-Resilient Seawalls
Kind Designs, a Miami-based Wave company, just announced a successful $5 million seed round—an incredible vote of confidence in their mission to protect coastal cities and restore marine ecosystems at the same time.
Their innovation? 3D-printed, eco-friendly seawalls designed to act as “living infrastructure.” Unlike traditional seawalls, Kind Designs’ products integrate with marine environments to promote biodiversity, capture carbon, and protect communities from erosion and rising sea levels. It’s a future-forward solution to one of the most urgent challenges of our time.
This funding round, led by Cities Fund with participation from M4 Investing and former CBS Entertainment President Elizabeth Tumulty, will allow Kind Designs to expand production and deploy their sustainable seawalls in more vulnerable communities across the U.S. and beyond.
Kind Designs is not only proving that infrastructure can be sustainable—it’s proving it can be regenerative.
