Reflecting on my time as a Marketing Intern with CSI Companies, I am filled with so much gratitude! The invaluable knowledge and exposure I gained during this experience will be with me throughout the rest of college and my professional career. Join me as I share the highlights of my internship and the experiences I learned along the way!
From day one, I felt immediately welcomed by the marketing team and all of CSI. I knew this internship would be the perfect fit for me. My role as a Marketing Intern provided me with hands-on experience in developing and organizing content for digital and print communications, assisting with content creation for social media sites, and aiding online campaigns.
One of the most fun and rewarding moments of my internship with CSI was hosting the Not Your Average Co. Podcast. I was joined by fellow CSI Connect Intern Marvon Ramsay and Internship Manager Dominique Carter. Hosting the podcast challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way. Plus, not many people can say they’ve hosted a podcast before! The sense of accomplishment I felt after filming the episode was extremely gratifying.
Throughout my internship, I learned the importance of adaptability, creativity, and attention to detail in marketing. Whether brainstorming new ideas or collaborating with the marketing team to ensure campaign success, I embraced every challenge with a willingness to learn!
As my internship progressed, I worked on many different projects! A few of my favorites included writing blog posts and press releases, designing content, developing Google ads, and writing a Jacksonville Jaguars sponsorship broadcast script. I also enjoyed the weekly intern activities that I participated in. These activities provided me, as well as the other CSI Connect interns with team building, networking, health and wellbeing, and skill-development opportunities that enhanced my overall internship experience. Additionally, the activities served as a welcomed break from the day-to-day tasks, offering a chance to unwind and recharge, ultimately contributing to a more positive and engaging work environment!
My time at CSI has been the most rewarding experience. I’ve developed a deeper appreciation and passion for marketing and feel equipped with the tools needed to thrive in my professional career. I am extremely grateful for the guidance and mentorship I received throughout my time here. I look forward to applying the knowledge I gained during this internship in my future endeavors.
